Gel Colour Aftercare:

  • Gel colour is a treatment designed to provide healthy, natural nails with extended colour.

  • Weak or damaged nails will not achieve the same results. Nail Envy and Cuticle Oil should be used for two weeks prior to application.

  • Cuticle Oil should be used before and after treatment to keep natural nails healthy and strong.

  • Expect the product to last up to two weeks.

After Treatment:

  • Do not go swimming or take long baths for 24 hours.

  • Avoid using harsh chemicals when cleaning.

  • Do not pick or peel off the gel, as this can damage natural nails.

  • Continue to use Cuticle Oil regularly.

Aftercare Products:

  • Lanolin and petroleum-based products can affect the durability of Gel Colour.

  • Certain OPI products will not affect the wearability of Gel Color:

  • Moisture Replenishing Lotion

  • High Intensity Hand Cream

  • Cuticle Oil is essential to maintain healthy nails, preparing them for the next application.

Removal of Gel Colour:

  • Advise customers that Gel Colour should be removed by a therapist.

  • Do not pull off Gel Colour, as this will strip layers from the natural nail, causing them to become weak and damaged.

  • Once removed, customers should continue using Cuticle Oil.

  • If customers are not reapplying gel, they should use Nail Envy to keep their nails strong and healthy.

 Nail Enhancements Aftercare:

  • Treat nails with care; do not use them as tools. Think of them as jewels.

  • Always wear protective gloves when doing gardening or household chores involving cleaning products.

  • Do not pick, peel, pull, or forcibly remove the gel or nail tips. Avoid tapping or picking at nail extensions, as this will remove layers from the natural nail bed, causing damage.

  • If nail enhancements are lifting or damaged, ignoring it could lead to a bacterial infection. Do not pick it off; instead, schedule an appointment for a therapist to check and repair it.

  • Massage cuticle oil into the cuticle area daily to nourish the natural nail and encourage healthy growth.

  • Always dry hands thoroughly and moisturise hands and cuticles.

  • If applying nail polish over gel, use a base coat first to avoid staining.

  • Remove polish with non-acetone nail polish remover, as acetone can dissolve the nail enhancement and dull the shiny finish.

  • Acetone should only be used for removals.

  • Be cautious near extreme heat and open flames, as nail extensions can melt.

  • Tinted lotions, suntan creams, hair products, and highly pigmented foods can discolour nail enhancements. Thoroughly wash hands after use or wear gloves for protection.

  • Do not miss regular maintenance appointments to keep nails looking their best.

  • Infills should be done every 2 to 3 weeks.

  • If any adverse reactions occur (rash, redness, or inflammation around the nails), please contact us immediately.

Removals:

  • Removals are best done by a therapist.

  • Cuticle oil should be massaged into the cuticle and nail plate to nourish the nail, as the acetone used in removals can dehydrate the nails and surrounding skin. Daily use of cuticle oil will help rehydrate the nail.
